Shattered

Into a million pieces
It shatters
As it falls hard
The pieces shining like diamonds
Light the only witness
To the whole spectacle
Wind the only testimony
To the tinkling music
As it hits the ground
A sound so melancholy
Yet so sweet
It leaves you astounded
Caught in between tears & smiles

Fragile it was
Before it fell
But lethal it is
Now that it had
Faced destiny’s worst wrath
& what’s left is
Its haunting beauty
Previously misted by
Concern in viewer’s eye
& fear of falling as
To whether it would survive
