This week’s Sunday wish factory post is dedicated to one of my closest friend. She has been asking me to write a review post on any one of the k-dramas for quite some time .But due to one or the other reason i had not been able to complete a series until this one.( the so said reasons being explained below)
I can hear your voice is a legal k-drama starring Lee Jong-Suk and Lee Bo-young.K-dramas on more occasions than not have a fairy-talish feel to them with cute romance. The reason that this series being the first I could finish being that , after reaching a certain point in the drama it would just turn too cliché or sugary predictable for me to sit through the rest.
Whereas the above mentioned drama does a pretty well job of keeping the audience enraptured till the end.It does not in any way lack the cuteness factor , for the lead characters are beautifully developed as per Korean society and the actors are pretty cute too 😛
That being said it is a 16 episode series- not too long , but just the right size I feel. The series got underlying currents of suspense & twists thrown in along with romance and comedy , which makes it an interesting watch. Now something about the plot-
After overcoming poverty and a difficult childhood, Jang Hye-sung (Lee Bo-young) becomes a lawyer, specifically a public defender, but she is pragmatic, self-preserving and jaded. Her life changes when she encounters Park Soo-ha (Lee Jong-suk), a high school senior with the supernatural ability to read other people’s thoughts by looking into their eyes, and cop-turned-lawyer Cha Gwan-woo (Yoon Sang-hyun) who is cheerful and idealistic, though a bit of a dork.
So , if you are looking to try a k-drama , you can give this one a chance. If you are used to watching English series like How to get away with murder , American horror stories and the likes , your hunger for suspense won’t be quenched mind you.but Its still a nice drama with a good story & worth a shot.
Note to readers:
